I'd just like to commend Mr Forge's book to your attention. It's really very good indeed, and I suspect it will be getting read by a large number of fairly important people over the coming weeks.

Well done, squire.

I'm sitting here rereading it myself this morning, since my back's decided that doing more than walking across the room today isn't feasible.

Should be interesting to see what kind of public reception it gets. Too bad the 'important people' you mentioned won't be writing reviews - that would be even more interesting.

Squire? Don't know if you got the memo, but I'm not exactly so good with the horses.

I'm glad you liked it, I tried to be as informative as I could without showing any real bias - some folks are taking that as "supporting mutant terrorism" because I took the stand that you need to understand someone like Magneto, the factors that went into making him who he is, before you can judge him.

And according to this morning's email from my publisher, first-day sales are pretty good. Not chart-making, but pretty good.

I actually brought a few signed copies back for folks. The Professor wanted some for the library as well.

Many have tried, and fallen like the Persians at Thermopylae.

This absolutely awesome bit of ancient Greek history that Mr. Dayspring referred to me. Something about the power of the few against the many.

Pete? Can I borrow your copy when you're done?

Sure. It's on my coffee table - I finished it before I left.

Have I mentioned that I dislike operating in China, by the way? Because, really, it's very fucking tedious. Remind me to send someone else, next time I have on of these ideas.

I should be back in the States some time tomorrow, though.
